QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (QA)

Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to join our team. As a QA Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products by conducting thorough testing, identifying and resolving issues. Your role is crucial in delivering high-quality, reliable, and user-friendly software to our customers.

• Responsibilities

• Test Planning:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and specifications.

• Develop detailed test plans and test cases based on project documentation.

• Test Execution:

Execute manual and, if applicable, automated test cases to verify the functionality and performance of software applications.

• Perform regression testing to ensure that new features or enhancements do not negatively impact existing functionality.

• Defect Identification and Reporting:

Identify, document, and prioritize software defects and issues.

• Work closely with developers and other team members to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.

• Automated Testing (Optional):

Develop and maintain automated test scripts to enhance testing efficiency.

• Implement and execute automated testing as part of the overall testing strategy.

• Performance Testing:

Conduct performance testing to ensure the scalability and reliability of software applications.

• Identify and address performance bottlenecks.

• Compatibility Testing:

Conduct compatibility testing on different browsers, devices, and operating systems.

• Ensure that software products meet specified compatibility requirements.

• Documentation:

Maintain detailed and organized test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.

• Provide clear and concise feedback to development teams.

• Collaboration:

Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand user requirements and system functionality.

• Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvement within the QA function.

• Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate them into the QA process.

• Requirements

• Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a QA Specialist or similar role.

• Testing Tools:

Proficiency in using manual and automated testing tools.

• Experience with testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG) is a plus.

• Testing Methodologies:

Familiarity with various testing methodologies, including black-box testing, and regression testing.

• Communication Skills:

Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate issues and collaborate effectively with team members.

• Problem-solving Skills:

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
