Quality Assurance Engineer

Requirements & Qualification

• Diploma / Bachelors degree in Computer Science or any related field.

Work experience in a similar role is required for this position:

• 5 years and more: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Less than 5 years: Quality Assurance Engineer

• Have IT knowledge of QA strategy, process, tools and be able to drive and execute software QA projects.

High attention to detail and solid analytical skills

• Excellent documentation skills.

Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.

• Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.

Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, test case design, and execution.

Well-organized, independent, detailed, and able to meet committed deadlines.

• Experience in writing automation test scripts and test execution.

Working knowledge of test automation software (e.g., Selenium, qTest, Katalon, Appium)

• Experience in JMeter is an added advantage.

ISTQB certification is an added advantage.

• Responsibilities

Update and maintain existing test artifacts.

• Responsible for documentation of software issues, requirements, test plans, and test suites

Coordinate and liaise with relevant parties for project-related items.

• Design, develop, and execute test cases which include but are not limited to mobile application testing, web application testing, and end-to-end testing.

Perform different testing strategies including regression, functional, and user acceptance tests on all software products. Participate in sprint delivery and develop test plans in release cycles. Adapt to different projects and platforms with minimal issues.

• Replicate defects reported by end users and update cases to facilitate developers. Facilitates and communicates the status of issues between users and engineers. Own key results in resolving defects for assigned teams.

Identify and document defects and issues in software applications as reported by external and internal users. Perform triaging based on a provided defect resolution schema and escalate issues to meet team targets. Communicate the delivery status of individual tickets to the team lead.

• Maintain appropriate security controls for documents.
