QA Software Engineer

IND Technology is an award winning powerline monitoring technology company based in Melbourne, New York and Kuala Lumpur. We are looking for a motivated QA Software Engineer to join our QA team in KL.

The key responsibilities of this job include:

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to verify software functionality and identify defects.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and designers to understand requirements and user stories.

• Perform manual and automated testing to validate software features, functionality, and performance.

Design and implement automated testing frameworks and scripts using appropriate tools and technologies.

• Identify, document, and track bugs, defects, and issues using bug tracking tools.

Conduct regression testing to ensure that previously developed and tested software still performs correctly after changes.

• Analyze test results and provide meaningful insights and recommendations to improve the quality of software products.

Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews as part of an Agile development team.

• Continuously learn and stay updated on industry best practices, testing methodologies, and emerging technologies.

• Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

• 6+ years of professional experience as a QA Engineer/Senior QA Engineer or similar role

• Technical Skills:

Test Framework Development: Proven experience as a QA Engineer with expertise in developing test frameworks from scratch.

• Comprehensive Testing Knowledge: Broad knowledge of all testing approaches, including Regression, Smoke, Functional, Performance, Integration, and Security testing.

TestRail Proficiency: Proficient in using TestRail for managing test cases, test plans, and test runs.

API Testing: Experience in performing API testing using Postman.JUnit and JMeter: Hands-on experience with JUnit for unit testing and JMeter for performance testing.

• Bug Tracking: Experience managing and tracking bugs using Jira.

Version Control: Proficient in using GitHub for version control.

CI/CD Experience: Experience with CI/CD tools and processes.Testing Methodologies: Solid understanding of various software development methodologies, including Agile (Scrum), and Waterfall, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.

• Cloud Environment: Preferred experience working in cloud environments, especially AWS.

Scripting Languages: Proficiency in languages like Python, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Ruby for automating the integration of test results from automation tools to test management tools.
