QA/QC Engineer

Position Overview: We are seeking a meticulous and experienced QA/QC Engineer to join our ductwork manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations. This role involves developing and implementing quality assurance and control processes, conducting inspections, and collaborating with various departments to maintain product excellence.

• Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance plans and procedures to ensure product quality and compliance with industry standards.

• Inspection and Testing: Conduct regular inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to identify defects and ensure quality standards are met.

Documentation: Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and quality control activities. Prepare and present quality reports to management.

Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in the manufacturing process and implement corrective actions to enhance product quality and efficiency.Compliance: Ensure all products comply with relevant industry standards and regulations. Stay updated on changes in quality standards and regulatory requirements.

• Collaboration: Work closely with production, engineering, and procurement teams to address quality issues and implement solutions.

Training: Provide training to production staff on quality control procedures and best practices.

Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis for any quality issues and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.Supplier Quality Management: Evaluate and monitor supplier quality performance. Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve material quality.

• Audit: Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with quality management systems and standards.

Customer Feedback: Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify quality improvement opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction.

Product Development Support: Collaborate with the product development team to ensure new products meet quality standards from the design phase through production.Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the manufacturing process and develop mitigation strategies to address them.

• Quality Metrics: Establish and monitor key quality metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of quality assurance and control processes.

Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations related to manufacturing processes.

• Requirements:

Educational Background: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control, preferably in the ductwork or HVAC manufacturing industry. Highly experienced candidate can be considered for senior role.Technical Skills: Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies, quality control processes, and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).

• Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and accuracy in conducting inspections and tests.

Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Software Proficiency: Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Certifications: Certification in quality management (e.g., CQE, CQA) is preferred.

Independence: Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Knowledge: Familiarity with ductwork manufacturing processes and materials.

• Preferred Qualifications:

Industry Experience: Experience in the ductwork or HVAC manufacturing industry.

Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards.Certifications: Additional certifications in quality management or related fields.

• Working Conditions:

Work Environment: Full-time position with standard office and manufacturing floor hours.

• Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required for supplier audits and quality inspections.
