Position based in Petaling Jaya.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage plant Good Manufacturing Program (GMP) & Food Safety & Quality Culture Program
- Maintain site Good Manufacturing procedures and policies, to ensure compliance latest standards requirements (FSSC 22000, GMP, HACCP, etc), regulatory requirements and The Arnot's Group policies.
- Manage GMP Audit program, ensure implementation, review effectiveness of the program and identify improvement required.
- Ensure GMP training program in place inclusive GMP Induction to newcomers, contractors and visitor, as well as annual refresher training.
- Manage plant GMP items stocks by ensuring purchase has taken place and track the deliveries.
- Plan, execute and monitoring plant Food Safety & Quality Culture activities.
Manage overall plant pest control
- Manage 3rd party pest controller servicing by ensuring all required service is carried out as per frequency, pest license is valid, documentation is updated, etc.
- Attend and rectify any pest control issues in the plant in timely manner.
- Review pest trending and ensure planned actions in place to rectify the issues.
- Identify area of improvements related to pest control.
Coordinate plant sanitation program
- Coordinate plant sanitation validation and verification program by planning and scheduling, communication with relevant stakeholders, review the completion and compliance rate, and any improvement required.
- Support in covid19 plant sanitation program, if required.
Manage microbiological laboratory (microbe lab)
- Manage microbe lab testing including planning and scheduling, ensure the test being carried out as per frequency, action taken whenever out of specification detected and ensure escalation to higher level if required.
- Ensure microbe procedures in place and being review on interval basis as required.
- Ensure training and competency program is being carried out to people performing microbe testing as per required frequency.
- Manage external laboratories by ensuring their compliance against required standards, sample pick up arrangement and on time result.
- Manage laboratory equipment's, apparatus and consumable items by ensuring stocks availability, on time servicing and calibration.
- Ensure Good Laboratory Practice in place.
Other Responsibilities
- Support in any improvements program around the plant that related to the role.
- Support in internal audit program, as internal auditors.
- Support in external audit.
- Support in training program by quality assurance.
Key Requirements For Successful Applicant:
- Degree holder in food science or equivalent.
- Experiences in QA, at least 3 years manufacturing experiences in food industry, focusing on quality assurance related to operations.
- Experiences in microbiological testing and/or sanitation program is added advantage.
- Good understanding in food safety certification requirements, such as FSSC 22000, HACCP and GMP requirements.
- Good in communication, written and interpersonal skills.
- Good in organizing and planning skills.
- Experience in problem solving, critical thinking and assertive in decision making.
