Your main responsibilities shall among others include the following: -
Develop and implement Halal policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure Halal assurance activities are according to regulations, standards and business requirements.
- Responsible for Halal application for new premise, new ingredient/menu or renewal. To ensure all products with valid HALAL certification and monitor all document related are in order, up to date & well organized.
Maintain & update Halal Assurance System Manual as per requirement of current procedures- To lead in HALAL internal and external audits. Prepare Halal audit report and recommend ways forward for improvement in business operations from audit findings.
To be the key person in the Halal Committee to highlight, solve, and continuously follow-up regarding Halal issues from suppliers, outlets and any related areas.
Perform Food Safety Audit at restaurant level, to ensure proper implementation of QMS/FSMS at restaurant level. Ensure restaurant compliance to Food Safety Standard and Standard Operation Procedure. (Travelling 15%)
- Conduct product testing/evaluation for new /improved material approval process.
Assist on HACCP program at restaurant level and ensure all HACCP program are being implemented as per requirement.- Act as document controller and ensure all documents & records for QA department are in order, up to date & well organized.
Work closely with supplier and internal stakeholder to ensure proper change control implementation.
- Perform any other special task and project that has been assigned by superior.
Candidate must possess a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Food Science/ Food Technology or equivalent.
- At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position. Must possess Professional Certificate of Halal Executive.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.- Be organized, good attention to details, be able to meet deadlines, be able to work independently, possess work commitment and required to travel and be on-site.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience in HACCP will be added advantage.
