Job Responsibilities- A bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Food Technology or a related field is required.
Previous experience in food safety and quality assurance is typically required. This may include experience in auditing, quality assurance, quality control or food production.- Experience specifically in the convenience store industry or similar retail food environments can be a plus.
Familiarity with international food safety standards like HACCP and ISO 22000 is beneficial.
- Proficiency in auditing techniques including conducting on-site inspections, reviewing documentation, and assessing compliance with food safety and quality standards.
Keen attention to detail is crucial to identify potential food safety and quality issues.- Ability to identify issues and develop solutions to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
Ability to work collaboratively with store management and staff to promote a culture of food safety and quality.
- Willingness to travel to different convenience store locations for audits.
- Create standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for food safety and quality management.
Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to mitigate food quality and safety concerns.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of store facilities and focus on ensuring food safety & quality standards and identifying areas for improvement.
Maintain a robust documentation system for all food quality and safety-related activities.- Responsible for examining food products for quality and safety.
Conduct supplier audits to ensure that they meet food safety and quality standards.
- Continuously assess and update food safety and quality procedures to ensure they align with the latest industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
