Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Implement Purchasing Strategies:
Create and execute strategies for procurement to meet organizational needs and objectives.- Monitor market trends and supplier performance to adjust strategies as needed.
Supplier Management:- Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.
Negotiate terms, prices, and contracts with suppliers to achieve the best possible terms.Procurement Process Management:
Oversee the entire procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Manage purchase orders, track shipments, and handle discrepancies and returns.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to optimize inventory turnover.
Develop and manage purchasing budgets, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.- Implement cost-saving measures and identify opportunities for process improvements.
Compliance and Documentation:- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier communications.Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments such as finance, production, and sales to forecast needs and ensure alignment with overall business goals.
- Resolve any procurement-related issues or conflicts promptly.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, and supplier performance to senior management.
