Purchasing Executive
Location: Port Klang Free Zone, Selangor
Salary rang: RM3500-5000 (based on experience)
Responsibilities
- Manage material purchases based on demand to prevent shortages or overstock.
- Follow up on Purchase Order acknowledgments and delivery confirmations from suppliers.
- Track orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Expedite materials to meet production requirements.
- Regularly update the production planner on material status.
- Ensure inbound shipments are cost-effective and align with company cost-saving policies.
- Optimize inventory orders through effective solutions.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors.
- Address and resolve quality issues with suppliers.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional departments to ensure smooth material delivery.
- Perform other duties as assigned by superiors or management.
Job requirements
- Must possess at least a Diploma in any field.
- At least 2 years of working experience in a related field.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Excel and overall proficiency with data computation.
- Self-motivated, independent, and able to work under pressure with tight timelines, prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Good knowledge of inventory control
- Proficiency in Mandarin language
