Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing & Procurement:
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process for cranes, including sourcing of crane components, spare parts, and accessories from domestic and international suppliers.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers based on quality, pricing, reliability, and compliance with specifications for crane systems and equipment.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best terms, prices, and delivery schedules.
Technical Specifications & Documentation:
- Work closely with engineering and technical teams to understand the requirements for procurement, ensuring the selection of materials, parts, and cranes meet the required standards.
- Review and verify technical specifications, ensuring that all purchased cranes and components adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Cost Optimization & Budgeting:
- Monitor and track the budget for crane procurement and related components, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Evaluate cost structures of different suppliers and recommend cost-saving measures where applicable.
Quality Control & Supplier Audits:
- Conduct quality inspections and audits of suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards for crane equipment and components.
- Resolve quality issues with suppliers and take corrective actions as necessary.
Logistics & Inventory Management:
- Coordinate logistics for the timely delivery of cranes and parts, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
- Manage inventory levels for crane components, ensuring that spare parts are readily available when needed.
Market Research & Trends:
- Stay updated on the latest developments in crane technology, sourcing trends, and the competitive landscape to inform procurement strategies.
- Monitor market prices for cranes and related components to ensure competitive pricing.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, with a focus on crane systems, equipment, or heavy machinery.
- Knowledge of crane technologies, systems, components, and their applications in construction, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to manage relationships with domestic and international suppliers.
- Proficient in using procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with sourcing, purchasing, and supply chain management best practices.
- Proficient in both written and spoken Mandarin, essential for communication with Chinese institutions and for operating equipment featuring Mandarin interfaces.
