Job Description

Job Responsibility

  • Conducting product research and sourcing new suppliers and vendors, materials, goods, products, and services and negotiating the best or most cost-effective contracts and deals.
  • Performing inventory inspections and reordering supplies and stock as according to the production schedule planner received, discuss, and restock any materials when ITs in low stocks and follow-up on enquiries to meet procurement deadline.
  • Updating and maintaining records of all orders, payments, and received stock.
  • Coordinating with the delivery team and following up on delays or orders that have been rescheduled.
  • Establishing professional relationships with clients as well as vendors and suppliers for enquiries, price negotiation, contracts, and credit terms.
  • Ensuring all stock is packaged appropriately and delivered to the correct location in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with production, sales, and other relevant departments to forecast demand and adjust inventory levels accordingly.
  • Manage suppliers to ensure fair and sustainable dealings in order to meet the operating company's objective on cost, price and quality.
  • Use the best purchasing strategies by taking into consideration business needs at all levels, and at same time negotiating the best terms for the benefit of the company.
  • Coordinate with production, sales, and other relevant departments to forecast demand and adjust inventory levels accordingly to make sure that proper product levels were always maintained.
  • Any ad-hoc assignments as assigned by the management to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the purchasing and inventory related.
  • Adapt to new tasks or responsibilities that align with the companys goals and objectives.

Job Requirements

  • Possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Procurement or equivalent.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia. Knowledge of Mandarin is a plus.
  • Good communications and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point, and Microsoft Word.
  • Preferably with 1 year of experience in a related field. However, fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Able to work extended hours during critical dates.
