Roles & responsibilities
- Taking responsibility for purchasing of goods during all stages from material requisition (MR) to purchase order (PO) issued and closed from the system.
- Coordinate with the warehouse manager to check the stock level as required and place an order as needed.
- Negotiate and coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional departments for the best possible price purchase and delivery time with the quality required for the project.
- To develop and execute purchasing strategies and maintain relationships with supplier
- Research, evaluate potential suppliers and develop new vendors per company's SOP
- Evaluate supplier's payment terms and set the strategy to increase.
- Do risk management by developing new suppliers for the existing materials.
- Lead procurement committee meetings to ensure policy compliance.
- Lead cost-saving procurement activities, including supplier negotiations and market evaluations.
- Review and analyze material purchase history and the safety stock. Increase and manage the stock for the project.
- Perform other duties assigned or as instructed by the manager.
- Lead Purchasing and Supply Chain department to support day-to-day activities
Education
Bachelor's Degree: A degree in supply chain management, or a related field is often required.
Experience
- Relevant Experience: Several years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management. Experience in a supervisory or managerial role can be advantageous.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience within the specific industry of the employer can be beneficial, as it provides insight into the market and supplier base.

- Familiarity with purchasing and inventory management software, ERP systems, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to identify and resolve issues related to supply chain disruptions, vendor disputes, or quality concerns.
- Skills in leading and motivating a team, providing training, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Certifications (Optional but Beneficial):
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM): Offered by the Institute for Supply Management (ISM).

Salary Range
