TheProposal Engineerwill be responsible for the end-to-end completion of high-quality proposals, quotations, bids, and tender responses, which are both technically and commercially compliant with the client's specifications, ensuring the completeness and correctness of proposal submissions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and understand client requirements as outlined in RFPs or ITBs.
- Collaborate with sales, technical, and project management teams to gather necessary information for proposal development.
- Develop detailed technical and commercial proposals that meet client specifications and showcase the company's capabilities.
- Analyze past proposals and feedback to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of future proposals.
- Reviewing project specifications and client requirements to understand the scope of work.
- Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend an optimistic solution.
- To prepare compliance/deviation list and necessary documents for tender submission.
- Act as point of contact for clients and undertake a negotiating role when preparing costed proposals
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in an engineering-related discipline (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, etc.).
- Working knowledge in Contract Administration, Costing and Estimating
- At least 2 years of experience in sales, Pre-Sales Support, Inside Sales, or technical proposal.
- Experience in preparing technical proposals for Electrical and instrumentation products & services is a plus.
- Good communication in English (both written & oral).
- Able to work independently, self-driven and with a positive attitude.
- Results-oriented, good team player with a good sense of responsibility in achieving business objectives.
