They support critical sectors including data centers, healthcare, industrial manufacturing, and energy.
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with a strong background in HVAC engineering and site construction management. This role will oversee end-to-end project execution for commercial and industrial HVAC projects, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and quality control. The ideal candidate has experience managing site operations, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and handling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution:
- Develop detailed project plans, budgets, schedules, and resources for HVAC engineering projects.
- Oversee all phases of HVAC construction, including planning, design, installation, and commissioning.
- Manage project scope, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Site Management:
- Supervise site activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Coordinate site inspections, equipment installations, and maintenance schedules with site engineers and contractors.
- Ensure adherence to HVAC and construction codes, permits, and licensing requirements.
Team Leadership & Coordination:
- Lead and manage cross-functional project teams, including HVAC engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, vendors, and other stakeholders to resolve design and site challenges.
- Conduct regular team meetings, monitor team progress, and provide guidance to ensure alignment with project goals.
Financial Management:
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and control costs to ensure adherence to financial targets.
- Prepare cost estimates, monitor project spending, and approve vendor and subcontractor invoices.
- Conduct financial forecasting and prepare budget adjustments as required.
Client & Stakeholder Communication:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, keeping them informed of project progress, timelines, and milestones.
- Address client queries, provide technical expertise, and ensure satisfaction with the project outcomes.
- Prepare and present project status reports and updates to internal and external stakeholders.
Quality Assurance & Safety Compliance:
- Implement quality control procedures to maintain high standards of HVAC engineering and site construction.
- Enforce workplace safety protocols and conduct regular site safety audits.
- Investigate and resolve any quality or safety issues that arise on-site.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design changes, site progress, safety records, and budget reports.
- Prepare project closeout reports, conduct final inspections, and ensure project handover is completed successfully.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, HVAC Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Project Manager in HVAC or related industries, with proven site construction experience. Experience in Data Center project is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and HVAC design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, site construction processes, and relevant codes and regulations.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a plus.
