Job Purpose:
To oversees the planning, execution, and completion of High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) projects, aiming to ensure alignment with objectives, stakeholder coordination, risk management, resource optimization, quality assurance, budget and schedule adherence, continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, documentation, compliance, and industry advancement. They play a pivotal role in driving project success and organizational reputation in the renewables energy sector.
Job Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation, in collaboration with stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Team Leadership: Provide direction, guidance, and support to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment to achieve project goals effectively.
- Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities, to facilitate smooth project execution and address concerns proactively.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans as necessary to minimize disruptions and ensure project continuity.
- Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle to ensure compliance with industry standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements for HVDC systems.
- Cost Control: Monitor project expenses closely, identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing cost control measures to ensure projects are completed within budgetary constraints without compromising quality or safety.
- Schedule Management: Track project progress against established timelines, identifying critical path activities and potential delays, and implementing corrective actions to keep the project on schedule.
- Communication: Maintain open and transparent communication channels with project teams, stakeholders, and senior management, providing regular updates on project status, issues, and resolutions.
- Change Management: Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and budget effectively, assessing impacts and communicating adjustments to stakeholders to ensure alignment and minimize disruptions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including reports, schedules, budgets, and contracts, to support project tracking, compliance, and knowledge transfer.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills/Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in construction management, with a focus on HVDC projects preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVDC systems, equipment, and construction methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Certification in construction management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
