- Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solar PV System Project Manager to oversee and drive the successful execution of solar PV projects from conception through to commissioning. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in managing large-scale solar PV projects, with comprehensive expertise in civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical aspects. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Preliminary Project Planning:- Develop and implement detailed project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, and scheduling.
Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to identify potential risks and opportunities.Engineering Design & Costing: Oversee the engineering design process, ensuring all designs meet regulatory standards and client specifications.- Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates and budgets for all project phases.
- Contract Negotiation & Management:
Lead contract negotiations with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.- Monitor and manage contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Site Construction & Installation:
Supervise construction and installation activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.- Coordinate with civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical teams to ensure seamless integration of all project components.
Oversee testing procedures to validate system performance and ensure compliance with project requirements.- Manage the commissioning process, including system handover and final client acceptance.
- Time, Cost, and Quality Management:
Monitor project progress against the schedule and budget, implementing corrective actions as necessary.- Ensure quality control measures are in place and that the final deliverables meet or exceed client expectations.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Project Completion: Adherence to project timelines and milestones.- Budget Management: Successful management of project costs within the approved budget.
Quality Assurance: Delivery of projects that meet or exceed established quality standards.
Bachelors degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in managing solar PV projects, including a strong background in civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
In-depth knowledge of solar PV systems, engineering design principles, and construction practices.- Experience with project management software and tools.
Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Preferred Qualifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification.
- Experience with large-scale commercial or utility solar PV projects.
Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
