Job Responsibilities
We are looking for a Project Management Office (PMO) Analyst who will play a crucial role in supporting our project management operations.
PMO Analyst responsibilities include tracking project progress, analysing data and ensuring that project activities align with our strategic goals.
Ultimately, you will be working closely with the PMO Manager to refine project scopes, optimise resource allocation and deliver comprehensive project documentation to facilitate informed decision making and project success.
Other responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of project management standards and best practices
- Supporting project portfolio management (PPM) and providing project management strategy implementation based on templates and toolsets
- Implement project governance standards including tracking, monitoring and updating the status of programme or project deliverables
- Manage the risk and issue log, action log and decisions log
- Document cross-programme dependencies and ensure the dependency log is accurately maintained
- Embed project control and governance
- Update and administer the project plan as required
- Support the lead to prepare regular project status reporting for management (Malaysia, Group), including steering committee reporting
- Support the lead in project managing key strategic initiatives of the Centre, as required
- Coordinate project closure to distil good practice and ensure lessons learned are logged
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 2 years of relevant project management or PMO management experience.
- Experience in planning, executing, controlling and closing projects and the ability to manage a project and its components simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Strong skills in creating and maintaining project and programme plans, including risks, actions, issues, dependencies.
- Knowledge of benefits and dependency mapping, risk management and resource planning.
- Highly proficient IT skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS project.
- Excellent communication (written, verbal) and interpersonal skills to positively influence people to make the appropriate decisions and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Performance-driven balanced with proven success of working effectively in a cross-functional team in an international environment.
- Process-oriented and possesses a strategic mindset with the ability to have a holistic view.
- Ability to deliver and articulate a presentation confidently and effectively to a wider project committee and management.
- Relevant experience in the financial services industry is advantageous.
- Degrees from any recognised University or recognised establishment (Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems or related field will be beneficial)
- Professional certifications in the field of Project Management (e.g. PMP, CAPM) will be an advantage
