Project Engineer for Mammoet Offshore Services
Working at Pasir Gudang, Malaysia
We are looking for a talented Project Engineer to join Mammoet Offshore Services. This role involves controlling and executing engineering activities and project management, including technical tender support, production of RAMS documentation, and structural/marine calculations for various marine and civil heavy lifting operations.
WHAT YOULL BE DOING
Develop engineering solutions for clients heavy transport and installation needs, both on-site and in the office.
Produce and hand over RAMS, equipment lists, engineering drawings, design calculations, and operation programs to Commercial and Operations teams.
Ensure all documents comply with company procedures, legislative guidance, and good practice.
Attend site visits to gather specific information and incorporate it into RAMS documentation.
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure compliance within the agreed scope and program, communicating any required changes timely.
Provide on-site technical support to the site supervisor and act as the main point of contact with the client for project coordination, engineering, and HSQE issues.
Perform marine engineering design calculations using available software.
Assist in carrying out feasibility studies and monitor project performance from tender to completion stages.
WHAT YOULL NEED
Degree level or above in Mechanical, Marine Engineering, or Naval Architecture.
Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD.
Knowledge of marine engineering software such as MOSES, SACS, OPTIMOOR, AUTOHYDRO or similar is desirable.
Knowledge in structural engineering/analysis is a plus.
Good command of English, both verbal and written.
Valid driving license.
Willingness to travel and work away from home on projects for extended periods globally and offshore.
Self-motivated, detail-focused, and able to work independently, taking initiative.
