Purpose of Role
This role supports the demand planning area for Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) channels that align with merchandising strategy with market demand to optimize product availability and business objectives. He/She plays an integral part in the collaborative planning process and will work cross-functionally with other teams across commercials, merchandising and supply chain to ensure financial targets are met, whilst maintaining optimal inventory levels.
Your Impact
Demand Planning
Responsible for supporting country-specific seasonal buying targets (Dollar & Unit) by channel that aligned with Global Brand Strategy and SAPAC Merchandising direction, to meet sales forecasts, and optimize sales performance and business objectives.
Analyze and develop the top-down and bottom-up demand forecast that aligned with business strategy direction.
Supports the demand planning team for the seasonal buying calendar, responsible for buying deadlines communicated and met across channels.
Conduct weekly reviews on forecast accuracy, identify ways to improve the forecast and maintain all supply-related parameters to ensure optimal product availability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate market insights and business objectives into the demand planning process.
Inventory Planning/Allocation
Assist in preparing the monthly inventory rolling forecast and managing the end-to-end inventory liquidation plan.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize the process and improve inventory turn by implementing strategies to mitigate stockouts and excess inventory while managing in-season and aged inventory.
Ensure on-time replenishment/allocations to achieve desired sales, inventory turn and sell-through objectives for the SAPAC market.
Minimize stock-outs and manage stock flow by maintaining optimal stock levels for Marketplaces (Lazada/Shopee).
Drive continuous improvement in inventory health metrics.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in business or related field preferred.
Above 2 years of experience in planning, allocation, supply chain management or related field (preferably with a background in apparel and/or footwear retail or wholesale sector).
Strong proficiency in Excel and knowledge of any other data-analytics program (e.g. Power BI) will be an added advantage.
Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills to make data-driven decision.
Meticulous planning qualities, as well as a deep interest in products.
Strong aptitude with retail math and forecasting methodology.
Attention to detail, strong problem solving and proactive individual. Strong sense of urgency and accuracy.
Ability to prioritize and organize workload to adhere to product calendar deadlines.
Strong communication skills and ability to build collaborative partnerships cross-functionally.
Ability to work in a team environment.

Location: Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur Office
Return To Work Designation: Hybrid work arrangement permits working from home on Mondays and Fridays, with flexibility subject to company requirements.
