Job Responsibilities:- Gather all necessary tools, equipment, and supplies from stores or vendors in advance.
- Adhere to the lock out, tag out (LOTO) procedure before starting mold removal or installation.
- Remove the mold and its accessories from the machine, perform line clearance, and prepare the mold for transport to the tool room.
- Inspect the mold for repairs, tool wear, and damage. Perform necessary repairs and cleaning.
- Store the mold in its designated location after inspection and cleaning.
- Position the new mold at the machine, ensuring all necessary supplies are ready.
- Install the new mold following proper procedures, troubleshoot any issues, and ensure proper alignment.
- Perform regular maintenance such as replacing inserts and tips, checking lubrication points, and cleaning the mold.
- Troubleshoot and repair molds during production to maintain optimal performance, including cleaning cavities and replacing parts as needed.
- Complete necessary documentation, including product change forms, daily activity reports, and mold inspection checklists.
