Supervise and coordinate the activities of the production team, ensuring adherence to production schedule;
Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency and high output while maintaining product quality;
Implement and enforce company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in all production activities;
Ensure that all products meet quality standards before they are released from the production line;
Implement and monitor quality control processes to maintain high product standards;
Work closely with the Quality Assurance Department to resolve any issues related to product quality;
Continuously evaluate production processes and identify areas for improvement;
Implement lean manufacturing techniques to increase efficiency and reduce waste;
Collaborate with the engineering and maintenance teams to optimize equipment performance;
Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished products, ensuring adequate supply for uninterrupted production;
Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely supply of materials;
Manage the disposal of waste and defective products in accordance with company policies;
Enforce health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment;
Conduct regular safety audits and take corrective actions as needed;
Promote a strong safety culture among the production team;
Lead, mentor and motivate production staff to achieve individual and team goals;
Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities for team members;
Identify training needs and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge;
Foster a positive and collaborative work culture that encourages teamwork and continuous improvement within the team.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
At least 3 - 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
Familiarity with ISO 13485 and FDA regulations.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Proficiency with production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and quality control processes.
In-depth understanding of health and safety regulations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
