Job Responsibility
- Manages manufacturing facilities to ensure that production is produced in a timely and cost-effective manner while meeting all governmental guidelines.
- Develops, monitors, and reports on operating costs within functional areas. Alerts management of cost and labour over run.
- Ensures orders are manufactured according to specifications and quality standards are met and on time.
- Manages labour issues including safety, security, employee relations, scheduling, training, grievances and the like. Ensures plant managers and supervisors are adhering to company policy and administering practices in fair and equitable manner.
- Train, develop, and appraise staff effectively. Takes corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Consults with Human Resources as appropriate.
- Keeps up to date on information and technology affecting functional area(s) to increase innovation and ensure compliance.
- Support / Promote Continuous Improvement activities to enhance plant efficiencies and ensure the plant is meeting customer expectations.
- Follow all FSSC22000, Halal, HACCP and GMPs requirements and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements.
Production Planning
- Oversee the daily production scheduling and management of the workshop comprehensively, organize and coordinate production based on the production tasks set by the company, combined with the production capacity of the production department, to ensure the completion of customer orders in terms of quality, quantity, and delivery time, and achieve various targets set by the production department.
- Guide, supervise, and inspect the daily production operation arrangements and management of the workshop, and organize the statistical and analysis work of various production data.
- Responsible for commanding and controlling the production process of the workshop to ensure the continuity and balance of production operations.
- Responsible for controlling and managing the production costs of the workshop, continuously reducing various production costs while maintaining stable quality.
- Timely track the materials for orders in process, and report and handle any issues promptly if needed.
- Organize relevant personnel in the workshop to do all pre-production preparations, such as equipment configuration, personnel deployment, and tool matching.
Product Quality Control
- After receiving orders, analyze the process characteristics of the standard with the research and development department and various teams of the production department, and carefully read the production requirements/finished product requirements of the process sheet.
- Based on the standard samples/customer requirements, negotiate with the research and development department and various teams of production to establish quality standards and develop process flows.
- Before the launch of new products, it is necessary to urge the relevant on-site administrators to produce pre-production samples, provide adequate guidance to frontline production staff, and require team leaders and quality inspectors to conduct inspections and semi-finished product sampling.
- Supervise and inspect the implementation of the quality assurance system during the workshop production process, analyze the reasons for non-conforming products and review and improve quality issues to improve the product pass rate.
- Cooperate with relevant departments to verify and implement new technologies, processes, and equipment to improve labor productivity.
- Establish and implement on-site operation standards and process flows for quality, ensuring production progresses and quality according to customer needs.
- Organize and urge all on-site administrators to solve quality problems on-site and handle them before they become finished products to reduce the rework rate of finished products and ensure product quality.
Equipment and Production Safety Management
- Responsible for organizing the implementation and inspection of on-site management activities in the production workshop to implement safety production.
- Responsible for the management and maintenance of production equipment and production tools in the workshop.
- Before leaving work every day, urge relevant personnel to inspect every corner of the workshop and conduct safety checks.
- After work, urge relevant personnel to close doors and windows, and before locking the main door, check whether all doors and windows are properly closed, clear the workshop personnel, and turn off the workshop circuits.
- Urge each employee to develop the habit of leaving work properly and remind relevant personnel to conduct regular safety checks.
- Tools and equipment should be placed in designated locations neatly, and it is not allowed to place, move, or exchange them arbitrarily.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the production site, urge relevant personnel to clean the production site every day, and urge team members to maintain environmental hygiene.
Human Resources Management
- Responsible for personnel management such as probation, confirmation, transfer, promotion, overtime approval, leave, resignation, and dismissal of production personnel within the scope of responsibilities.
- Assign, train, guide, supervise, inspect, and evaluate the work of subordinate personnel in the workshop.
- Handle abnormal situations in the workshop and coordinate and communicate with other departments to ensure the normal operation of the workshop.
- Responsible for arranging and scheduling workshop production personnel, and determining the workload of department employees.
- Set an example by following the various rules and regulations of the company, and appropriately introduce some incentive mechanisms in the rules to fully mobilize the enthusiasm and creativity of employees and relevant personnel to better serve the company.
- Urge every employee to arrive and leave work on time, and do the attendance work of relevant personnel in the workshop. During attendance, be fair and just, persuade with reason, and base on facts.
- Mobilize the sense of urgency of workshop production staff and take effective measures to improve the production atmosphere, so that production line employees have high morale.
You are required to be flexible to variations in workloads due to seasonal demand, and a hands-on approach is required. Some unsocial hours may be necessary during busy periods, and you will be expected to be flexible in accommodating for such requests
