About The Role
This role is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the entire production process within a manufacturing or assembly environment. This position requires strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and previous working experience in production assembly. This person collaborates closely with various departments to ensure efficient operations and achievement of production goals
What You Will Do
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement production strategies aligned with overall organisational goals
and objectives. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise production
processes and enhance productivity.
Team Leadership:
Provide guidance and leadership to the production team, including managers,
supervisors, and assembly workers. Foster a culture of high performance,
collaboration, and innovation.
Resource Allocation:
Allocate resources effectively, including equipment, materials, and manpower, to
ensure smooth and efficient production operations. Collaborate with other
departments to optimise resource utilisation.
Performance Monitoring:
Monitor production performance, analysing key metrics such as output, efficiency, and
quality. Implement systems to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Cost Control: Control production costs and expenses within the allocated budget.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce wastage and
enhance profitability.
Quality Assurance:
Establish and enforce quality control measures to ensure products meet or exceed
customer expectations and industry standards. Implement robust quality management
systems and address any non-conformities.
Process Optimization:
Continuously evaluate production processes and workflows to identify bottlenecks,
inefficiencies, and areas for automation. Implement lean manufacturing principles and
technological advancements to improve productivity.
What You Should Have
Previous Production Assembly Experience:
Extensive experience working in a production assembly environment, including a
managerial or executive role.
Leadership and Strategic Thinking:
Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and inspire teams.
Strategic mindset with the ability to align production activities with broader organisational
goals.
Technical Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of production assembly processes, quality control
methodologies, and manufacturing best practices.
Proficiency in lean manufacturing
principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Analytical Abilities:
Strong analytical skills to interpret production data, identify trends, and make data driven
decisions.
Ability to analyse complex problems and develop innovative
solutions
