Pekan Nanas, Johor. Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.- Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations and minimize waste.
Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the production process.
Develop and maintain production plans that align with company goals and customer demands.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and efficient flow of materials and products.
Optimize the scheduling of production activities to maximize resource utilization.
Collaborate with the Quality Control team to ensure products meet quality and safety standards.- Investigate and resolve any production defects or issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Continuously monitor and improve product quality through process enhancements.
- 4. Equipment and Tooling Management
Design and implement tooling and fixtures to support efficient production processes.
- Ensure that all equipment and machinery are properly maintained and calibrated.
Recommend and implement equipment upgrades or replacements to improve production capabilities.
- 5. Continuous Improvement
Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production performance.- Implement best practices in production engineering and stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production processes.
- 6. Data Analysis and Reporting
Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Prepare regular reports on production metrics, including efficiency, downtime, and quality.
Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive process improvements.
- 7. Health, Safety and Environmental Compliance
Ensure all production activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.- Promote a culture of safety within the production environment.
Implement and maintain safety protocols and procedures.
Provide technical support to production teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
- Work closely with the design and engineering teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
Assist in the training of production staff on new equipment or processes.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.Experience:
2-5 years of experience in production engineering or a related role within the manufacturing industry.Skills: Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and production systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software and production planning tools.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Good understanding of quality control standards and safety regulations.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
