Job Description
Production Planning Responsibilities:
Perform Rough Production Planning (RPP) for mid & long term up to 12-18 months
Review production capacity with manufacturing team
Level production according to Leveling guidelines
Conversion, release & schedule production orders according to levelling pattern
Reschedule planned orders based on possible production
Track and follow up production output, sub assembly progress & customer order fulfillment
Review leveling adherence and with manufacturing team
Drive production to achieve target output & produce the right mix of SKUs and sub assembly
Liaise with order planner for any unfulfilled orders
Dealing with urgent enquiries from customers
Review and update weekly plan/order fulfilment in allocation fileMaterials Planning Responsibilities:
Review & maintain MRP parameters (eg Lead time, ROP, Rounding values, Lot size, Planning time fence, Coverage profile, Safety stock, Min-max stock level etc) to ensure automatic planning is running smoothly to achieve optimized stock level
Run mini macro for material auto replenishment within warehouses
Reschedule SA/PO to supplier based on forecast changes
Close follow up & obtain delivery confirmation from suppliers. maintain a material supply visibility of minimum 2-3 months
Close follow up & tracking of materials replenishment status, expedite deliveries to support production & customer orders
Bottleneck & allocation management for parts in critical shortage.
Supplier delivery performance monitoring & improvement
Track, monitor & manage material phase-in/out and product EOL. Adjust planning according to product & material life cycle
Propose last time build to minimize scrap of excess materials before product phase out
Be change leader for product discontinuance CR and follow up until CR closure
Frequent review of supplier capacity
Inventory management & control according to TCT target. Analyze stock coverage, define & take proactive actions for stock reduction
Inventory scrap proposal for no movers & damage stock
Work closely with purchasing quality on part return & replacement due to technical issues.
Coordinate RTV process for logistics rejects (wrong part / quantity).
Air freight cost monitoring & controlLPV Responsibilities :
Act as Logistics team member (LPV) for new launches & ALRs
Support samples & pilot runs
Attend new project and ALR meetings, contribute actively & work with cross functional team members to achieve timely SOP
Attend product launch meeting (PLT) with Launch Manager & update production/delivery status.
Analyze feasibility & restrictions to achieve ramp up plan.
Ensure materials availability & on time delivery to achieve ramp up plan (RUM)
Maintain MM & release pronovia timely & accurately to enable automatic planning.
Co-ordinate new material packaging lot size for kanban card preparation before SOP
Supporting Role :
Attend Daily management and Leveling meeting
Attend Daily Delivery Meeting
Expedite material due to stock variance in the plant.
BPS concept on supplier flexibilities
Supplier relationship management(SRM) tools
Issue ticket to raise PR for miscellaneous expenses
Contribute ideas on PPT/add*One system or process improvement
Ad hoc tasks as and when required/assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Business Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain or equivalent
Computer knowledge in SAP and MS Excel is a must
Systematic and reliable work based on defined process
Team player with good communication skills
Working with peoples from different cultures and organizational functions
High need for telephone conferences
