This position reports to

Product Marketing Director

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to represent global divisions in the country to drive sales and market growth. Each day, you will oversee sales and marketing activities and support Sales organizations in driving sales and services for their respective products. You will also showcase your expertise by defining, planning, and ensuring the implementation of product marketing strategies in line with global product strategy. The work model for the role is: #LI-onsite, #LI-hybrid This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Building Business in Malaysia. Main stakeholders are salesperson, finance controller, legal counsel and customers. You will be mainly accountable for: Creating, planning, and ensuring implementation of the local go-to-market product marketing strategy, including defining and communicating product value propositions and product positioning in accordance with the global product marketing strategy. Focusing on achievement of the target set for metrics like total demand orders (by ABB and third-party), growth margin percentage, net price variance, Net Promoter Score (NPS), inventory turn on finished goods, and on-time delivery as requested. Evaluating market opportunities, determining appropriate activities aligned with the overall strategy, and coordinating opportunities across local divisions and local business units, as appropriate. Ensuring balanced growth for all product lines, product groups, and business units and creating product demand by promoting technical aspects, providing solutions, and utilizing value-based selling approach. Product group management and demand forecasting to ensure right pricing and stock allocation to the market demand. Spearhead the demand generation with both internal and external campaign and initiative to drive business growth.

Qualifications for the role

Degree in Engineering or Marketing with proven experience in Engineering Sales or Marketing.
10years of experience in product marketing or engineering sales and highly innovative around demand generation & product marketing.
Experience in low voltage and DinRail products, wiring accessories, building management system and home solutions or Automation systems will be a plus.
Highly skilled in and enjoy working with Microsoft Office, Salesforce platform, SAP and the Electrical Engineering Market.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Highly adept in specialized software such as AutoCAD, MATLAB, and LabVIEW.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
