Expected to lead and develop staff of the Purchasing Division to seek best quality product with the right price and quantity to the restaurants and supermarket with the right product offer. Strong communication and collaboration skills and product knowledge. Management of internal supply chain controls and optimal budgeted profits through supplier negotiations for contracted purchases.
- DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for new development buying process and design standards within budget and timelines
- Maintain best practice in purchasing and stock management with Finance and IT Divisions.
Ensure purchasing SOP maintained and implemented for prompt payment to suppliers.- Responsible for supplier compliance of food health and safety regulations and environmental standards and practices.
Co-ordinate with marketing team through supplier funding of product promotions and festive seasons.
- Maintain working relationships with managers and chefs to ensure purchasing requisitions reflect needs of the business and its customers.
Strong management of internal supply chain using USB software for inventory stock control.- Responsible for food and non-food items purchase for the retail business of the BIG Group.
Proven leadership in sourcing food/non-food under Dry and Fresh categories including non- trade items for the BIG Group of Companies.
- Responsible for developing contingency plans in suppliers approval list, annual budgets for kitchen utensils replacement and renewal of contractual supplies.
- QUALITICATION/EXPERIENCE:
Age: 30
- Min. Qualification: Degree/Diploma in Purchasing Management/Supply Chain Management
Min. Experience 10 years plus must have 5-6 years prior to retail/wholes sale experience including 4-5 years purchasing portfolio in the range of assigned product lines.
