Job Description

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Lead the procurement & logistic functions and activities of the company within operational budgetary constrains.

  • Establishes policies and procedures, manages departmental budgets, set direction and develops training programs.

  • Develops negotiation strategies and alternatives sourcing plan.

  • Manage supplier performance evaluation.

  • Manages tax exemption and customs submissions, shipment tracking, maximize efficiency and optimize productivity in project executions.

  • Manages material and product planning, inventory control and delivery planning activities.

  • Liaise with relevant internal departments (Sales, Project, fabrications and QA) and external parties (haulage companies, forwarders and health officers) on delivery requirements.

  • Ensure all shipping documents and coordination are deal with efficiently to achieve zero shipment failure.

  • AUTHORITY

  • To approve Purchase Order with value less than RM 1000.00

  • SKILL AND EXPERIENCE

  • Significant experience in procurement or related filed, with at least five years.

  • Experience of managing professional staff.

  • Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills.

  • Good negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Resourceful and strong in networking of vendors.

  • Knowledgeable in global procurement processes, sourcing management with extensive experience in managing multiple strategic suppliers.

  • Knowledgeable in procurement methodologies & practices and material management.

  • Good understanding of key principles of financial analysis, budgeting and cost accounting.

    Job Types: Full-time, Contract
    Contract length: 12 months

    Pay: From RM3,000.00 per month
