DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :- Lead the procurement & logistic functions and activities of the company within operational budgetary constrains.
- Establishes policies and procedures, manages departmental budgets, set direction and develops training programs.
- Develops negotiation strategies and alternatives sourcing plan.
- Manage supplier performance evaluation.
- Manages tax exemption and customs submissions, shipment tracking, maximize efficiency and optimize productivity in project executions.
- Manages material and product planning, inventory control and delivery planning activities.
- Liaise with relevant internal departments (Sales, Project, fabrications and QA) and external parties (haulage companies, forwarders and health officers) on delivery requirements.
- Ensure all shipping documents and coordination are deal with efficiently to achieve zero shipment failure.
- AUTHORITY
- To approve Purchase Order with value less than RM 1000.00
- SKILL AND EXPERIENCE
- Significant experience in procurement or related filed, with at least five years.
- Experience of managing professional staff.
- Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills.
- Good negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Resourceful and strong in networking of vendors.
- Knowledgeable in global procurement processes, sourcing management with extensive experience in managing multiple strategic suppliers.
- Knowledgeable in procurement methodologies & practices and material management.
- Good understanding of key principles of financial analysis, budgeting and cost accounting.
