Purpose of Role:
- To manage cost effective and timely supply as well as fulfilment of the purchase and procurement of respective materials/service assigned
- This is to be done by implementing systems and processes to meet Weir Minerals Malaysias customer services requirements and supplier management.
- This incorporates both product and information flow and includes the ordering process, monitoring of orders, liaison with internal customers and external suppliers

- Focus Area: To assess supplier's performance while managing supplier relationships to ensure quality and timely delivery of goods and services.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications: (Add MAX 4 bullets of desired eligibility requirements)
- A degree in Materials Management, Supply Chain Management or Operations Management.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in executive role with relations to Purchasing, Procurement, preferably in a manufacturing organization.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Quality Issue (ISO) and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Candidates must be well organised, disciplined and comfortable with numbers.
- Candidates must have a very strong drive and proven track record in being able to make changes and get things done.
- Strong negotiation and leadership skills.
- Ability to co-ordinate and work with various departments to achieve a common objective.
- Good interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Ability to prioritise, organize workload, able to work under pressure and respond quickly to emergencies and rapidly changing priorities.
- Ability to communicate well under a mix / Global Culture environment.
- Strong Change Management skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office.
