Procurement Engineer

Requirements:

• A minimum of 1 - 3 years in procurement or a closely related field

Prior experience with vendor management

• Demonstrated ability in contract negotiation

Previous involvement in cost-reduction initiatives

• The ability to read, write & comminicate well in both English and Bahasa Melayu languages

• Job Descriptions:

Communicate with superior and management regarding the nature and function of equipment to be purchased

• Able to produce comprehensive Technical and Commercial Evaluation for Management review and approval

Maintain suppliers and contractors database

• Process Incoming Purchase Order/Contract from Clients

Prepare Outgoing Purchase Order to suppliers and contractor

• Follow up Review and track all orders status from suppliers

Liaise with suppliers on delivery schedule so as to ensure on-time deliveries of final product.

• Monitor the logistic activities for all incoming and outgoing delivery

To check incoming items, re-labelling and re-packing

• To prepare Delivery Orders as per Client's Purchase Orders

To arrange transporter and monitor timely delivery to end client.

• Negotiate with suppliers on lead-time, cost and quality so as to obtain the maximum benefit for the company

Analyze all suppliers in order to select the most suitable suppliers who are able to deliver high quality products at competitive pricing

• Support Technical and Business Development Team for Sourcing materials for project and tender.

Perform regular performance review with suppliers to drive continuous improvements

• Adopt appropriate supplier management methodologies and procurement strategies in purchasing to secure better prices.

To meet and ensure timely payment to supplier/ contractors to avoid delays inproject/ delivery.

• To prepare payment checklists for Management review.

Any other tasks assigned by Management whenever required
