Role purpose: To provide process engineering expertise and input across a range of engineering disciplines as appropriate. To identify and manage major project interfaces related to the process design and its implementation. To prepare and administer all matters relating to the process and facilities design.
Direct contractors lead engineers to ensure that overall discipline engineering design is in accordance with Company requirements. This position has a key accountability to ensure that all engineering disciplines are properly aligned with the process design. The process design is the starting point for all other disciplines so, the incumbent should provide a cross-discipline communications channel and establishes inter-discipline priorities and ensures, under the direction of the Engineering Manager, that all discipline engineering inputs are accommodated in accordance with the process BOD.
Administer engineering procedural control and processes to ensure, on a day-to-day basis and to ensure that discipline engineering is in overall accordance with the Project Execution Plan and subsidiary documents.
- Health, Safety, & Environment:
Ensure contractor compliance with the HSE aspects of project engineering procedures .
Demonstrate exemplary commitment to Companys HSE goals and culture.
Acts as the projects focal point for all matters related to safety engineering (HAZOP, HAZID, HAZAN etc).
Drive to ensure satisfactory close-out of FSA and workshop/review actions.
Provide discipline project engineering expertise and interface management support for the project
Provide project engineering leadership and input into the planning and contractual bases of design
Manage contractor responses/deliverables for the process engineering discipline engineering aspects of the Work
Provide process engineering inputs in balancing the demands and interactions between the discipline engineering functions, process, mechanical, electrical, fabrication, installation, operations, and maintenance
Provide process engineering assistance to Offshore Facilities and commissioning teams related to process engineering and commissioning/start-up issues
A degree in Chemical or Process Engineering, Professional Engineer registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia
Minimum 15 years of development/project experience with a significant period in a similar role. Broad-based engineering skills. Experience in dealing with Regulators (MPM) and local engineering and fabrication contractors
