Join us as Pricing Manager APAC for the Electrification Business Area where you will be Identifying and executing price increase and demand generation opportunities to maximize revenue, profit and share of market for the relevant local Sales organization, whilst ensuring ABB customer satisfaction.
Reporting to Local Sales and Marketing Manager and this position will be based in Sungai Wey, Petaling Jaya- Malaysia, Singapore, and Bangkok-Thailand.
Your responsibilities
- Acting as the interface between the local sales organization(s) (LSOs) and the Global Pricing function and the Division Pricing Managers. Capable of handling one or more LSOs in the region
- Developing and implementing efficient and effective methods to execute price recommendations generated for the LSO(s) by a Pricing Business Intelligence tool. Planning, monitoring and measuring progress on execution of the pricing recommendations. Providing data to assist the local sales management to determine the local pricing strategy
- Conducting thorough competitive pricing analysis to identify market trends, benchmark against industry standards, and recommend adjustments to maintain a competitive edge in the market
- Resolving, managing, monitoring and addresses pricing data issues. Preparing, updating and maintaining Business Intelligence pricing dashboards. Utilizing data analytics tools and methodologies to analyze pricing data, customer behavior, and market trends. Generating actionable insights to inform pricing decisions and optimize product/service pricing structures
- Developing and implementing SQL stored procedures to support repetitive data tasks. Assisting in the development of pricing tools to support the local teams. Collaborating with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, finance, and product management to align pricing strategies with overall business goals and objectives
- Extracting and analyzing data from sales/financial tools to measure effectiveness of current pricing strategy (revenue, margin and volume improvement) and providing regular status reports to relevant local and global management
- Conducting regular profitability analysis on products and services, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending adjustments to pricing structures to enhance overall profitability. Managing Gross Price List structure and selling Price definition (Dynamic price repositioning processes)
- Developing and implementing price optimization models to dynamically adjust pricing based on various factors such as demand, seasonality, and customer segments, ensuring the company maximizes revenue opportunities, ensuring that pricing strategies align with the product's positioning and value proposition
- Staying informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and economic factors that may impact pricing. Conducting market research and forecasting to anticipate changes and proactively adjust pricing strategies
- Establishing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) related to pricing effectiveness, such as revenue growth, margin improvement, and customer satisfaction. Regularly report on these metrics to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
- Supporting sales teams in negotiating pricing with key clients and partners. Developing and managing pricing contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and profitability targets
Your background
- A master's degree in operations research, Statistics, Economics, Analytics or an equivalent data driven quantitative discipline is preferred
- Experience with one or 2 Business Intelligence Tools, e.g. Power BI and / or Tableau is preferred.
- Good working knowledge of MS SQL Language to perform the needed unions and joins
- Good command of the fundamentals of statistical and quantitative analysis
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel
- Excellent oral and written communications skills in local and English languages
