About The Role
Responsible in portfolio management at enterprise level by applying best-practice Project Delivery and management approach to support and ensure standard project management framework, process and tools are used for project delivery.
- Support project & program managers with successful delivery of their projects/ programs, leading to the growth of a business.
- Supply right level of information and insights to assist decision making on project prioritization, implementation and improvement recommendation to mitigate project/program risk and maximize investment returns.
- Lead portfolio management activities in the entire project lifecycle - from concept, feasibility & financing; through planning, statutory process & design; into procurement, construction, commissioning & operational readiness.
- Track, analyze and provide insights on projects performance including project financials, resource management, vendor management during implementation stage additional to project progression and KPIs and benefit realization post implementation.
- Understand the scope and intend of program initiative(s) to have better understanding and analysis on the potential risks and issues to be highlighted to the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office Lead timely.
- Develop, review and present status report required for stakeholders update.
- Active participation and contribute value in relevant discussion.
- Coach and train PMO team members to increase effectiveness, performance and productivity.
- Identify and propose areas for improvement and lead the change activities and adoption.
- Demonstrate deep technical capabilities and professional knowledge, ability to quickly assimilate to new knowledge, and possess in depth business acumen.
- Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor to meet operational and/or other requirements.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor or Master's degree from a recognized University.
- Professional Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), Professional Scrum Master or Certified Scrum Master (PSM/ CSM) or Agile practitioner will be at advantage.
- More than 8 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position. Preferably from large financial institution, telecommunication, health service or information technology industries.
- Minimum 3 years of PMO experience at large corporation or consulting industry.
- Strong management discipline with solid proficiency in project management methodologies.
- Strong stakeholders management and people influencing skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to establish strong relationships within short period of time and maintain it effectively.
- Detailed orientated, and keenness for evident by numbers and analytics.
- Flexible and adaptable to project environment to embrace the change.
- Experience with large-scale project / program implementation and familiar with project management methodology & lifecycle.
- Skilled ability to foster continuous improvement and innovation; ability to accept and lead change initiatives throughout the organization.
