Position Summary
The Plant Engineer is responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of gamma radiation plants. This role involves managing radiation plant systems, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and maintaining high operational standards. The engineer will lead projects, solve complex technical issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the plants operations.

Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other engineers, technicians, and plant staff to ensure smooth and efficient plant operations.
Foster a collaborative and team-oriented work environment, promoting knowledge sharing and mutual support.
Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians in radiation plant operations, safety protocols, and best practices.
Radiation Protection:
Act as Radiation Protection Supervisor/Officer (RPS/RPO) category 1, ensuring compliance with all radiation protection standards.
Oversee the proper handling, storage, and disposal of radioactive materials in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Conduct radiation safety training for plant personnel and ensure ongoing compliance with safety regulations.

Oversee daily operations of gamma radiation facilities to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of radiation equipment and systems to ensure reliability and efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to radiation plant operations promptly to minimize downtime.Safety Compliance:
Ensure all plant activities comply with local, national, and international radiation safety regulations and standards.
Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures for the handling and operation of radiation equipment.
Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments, identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective actions.

Required Experience
Development and execution of preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance, minimum 2 years
Hand on experience in equipment and machinery troubleshooting, minimum 5 years
Supervising skill, minimum 3 years
Involvement in quality system, minimum 3 years
Involvement in safety & health related issue, minimum 2 years
Engineering related skill, industrial automation, specializing in Siemens PLC & SCADA
Knowledge or experience in switching, RF and high frequency oscillator circuit preferred
Knowledge or experience in HSE procedure/ rules and regulations and COSHH requirement
Good interpersonal and communication skill
