The Role
Responsibilities
Job description
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Coordinate with site teams, contractors, and suppliers to align activities with the project timeline.
- Monitor project progress and adjust schedules to address delays or unforeseen issues.
- Prepare progress reports and present them to project managers and stakeholders.
- Identify and manage potential risks, developing contingency plans as needed.
- Communicate schedule updates and critical path changes to relevant teams.
- Ensure project scope changes are reflected in the schedule and assess their impact on timelines.
- Maintain records of project schedules, revisions, and communications.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of construction methods and procedures.
- Proficient in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or Asta Powerproject.
- Strong project management skills, including balancing multiple tasks and timelines.
- Analytical skills to forecast project timelines and identify potential issues.
- Excellent communication skills to convey plans and risks to stakeholders.
- Problem-solving ability to handle challenges and ensure project stays on track.
Ideal Profile
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in construction planning.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an advantage.
- Proficient in planning and scheduling tools.
