Responsibilities:
Transport family to designated locations following established routes and schedules.
Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while driving.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operating conditions, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and fluid levels.
Load and unload goods or passengers as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and trip logs.
Provide excellent customer service to passengers or clients, ensuring their comfort and safety during transit.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, or clients to coordinate pick-up and delivery schedules and address any issues or concerns.
Handle unexpected situations such as traffic delays, vehicle breakdowns, or accidents calmly and professionally, while ensuring the safety of passengers, cargo, and other road users.
Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained, both inside and out, by washing, waxing, and performing routine maintenance tasks as needed.
Follow proper procedures for fueling vehicles and maintaining fuel and expense records.
Assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles, and provide assistance with luggage or special needs as required.
Attend training sessions or meetings to stay updated on safety regulations, driving techniques, and company policies.
Report any vehicle defects, accidents, or incidents to supervisors promptly and accurately.
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle being operated.
Clean driving record with no history of traffic violations or accidents.
Previous experience as a driver preferred, especially in a commercial or transportation setting.
Knowledge of local roads, highways, and traffic patterns.
Ability to read maps, follow GPS directions, and navigate efficiently.
Excellent driving skills and a strong commitment to safety.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical fitness and stamina to sit, stand, and drive for extended periods.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects if required.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
