The Role
The People Operations Specialist will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing the employee experience across our Malaysia and Singapore offices. This role involves a blend of HR operations, payroll, employee engagement, compliance, and HR reporting. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of HR practices in both Malaysia and Singapore.
Your responsibilities will include:
Handle onboarding, offboarding and transfer administration for all people movements (e.g. new hires, promotions, transfers, re-designation, resignations/terminations etc)
Support new joiners onboarding and offboarding process, including collating staff movement announcements, planning and executing teams orientation and other engagement programs
Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, benefits, and other employee-related transactions.
Coordinates office facilities and related operations
Monitor, upkeep and ensure security and accuracy of employees records and documents in HRIS including leave and OIL records.
Maintain and update employee handbook, guidelines, policies and process flows.
Generate and analyze HR reports to improve efficiency and effectiveness of people decisions
Participate and contribute towards implementation of regional HR projects, strategies and initiatives.
Support tracking and monitoring HR budget and expenses, as well as tracking data of employee laptops and any other company assets
Facilitate setup of Employee Engagement activities.
Assist in streamlining current HR processes
Process employee requests for information and related employment visas, permits, and regulatory applications
Other ad-hoc tasks as assigned
Who we look for - the ideal profile:
At least 4-6 years of relevant experience
Experience with running end to end payroll is a must
Well versed with Malaysia and Singapore regulations and labor law.
Proficient in MS Office including Excel.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Highly motivated, nimble and takes initiative to take up new challenges
Self-starter and able to work independently.
Resourceful team player who is confident to bring ideas to the table
Detailed-oriented with strong organizational and administrative skills
