We are looking for a people and operations manager to oversee human resource and
operational matters of our dynamic, brand focused e-commerce company. You will be
responsible for developing and driving an effective people strategy, while implementing best practices and improving business processes across the organisation. Your duties will involve working with internal teams and/or external vendors to fulfil the full suite of HR functions for the organisation and operational leadership functions with the goal of improving efficiency, optimising cost and scaling up the business.
Acts as a strategic partner on the leadership team and works closely with the team to
coordinate efforts to ensure company objectives and performance metrics are met.
Oversees business activities, operational processes and infrastructure while looking for
opportunities of improvement and providing strategic solutions.
Manages day to day operations of the business while balancing the responsibilities of
special projects for increasing operational efficiency and productivity, cost optimization,
systems and process improvements.
Ensure that all operational, administrative, and compliance requirements within the
company are being properly identified and executed as required by management and
regulatory-based best practices.
Identify, deploy, maintain and optimise a cloud based project/task management system
to effectively track and measure business and personnel productivity with
comprehensive best practices knowledge sharing across the entire organisation.
Works collaboratively with leadership to identify and develop and/or improve systems,
processes, controls and procedures with the goal of achieving sustainable business
scalability.
Manage the overall Human Resources function including benefits, payroll, statutory,
recruitment, learning and development, culture, performance management, retention
strategy and succession planning.
Coaches, develop and monitor team members to ensure they are delivering against key
business metrics and ongoing tasks while reinforcing positive morale, and upholding
company values.
Establish and maintain credible, professional relationships with external professional
services vendors and effectively work with them on an ongoing basis
Provides timely, accurate and complete reporting on the people, operations and special
projects while providing clear and concise recommendations for improvements.
Minimum of five or more years of experience in executive leadership roles
Excellent leadership skills, and interpersonal communication skills with
steadfast resolve and personal integrity
Basic understanding of Malaysian human resources laws and best practices
Familiarity with cloud based project/task management systems
Ability to analyse data and possess understand performance metrics
Ability to coach and groom talents within the organisation
Proficiency in english, bahasa melayu and mandarine is preferred
Prior work experience in an e-commerce company is not required but preferred.
