Responsibilities:- Process and verify payroll data for employees in compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
Calculate and process salary adjustments, overtime, bonuses, and deductions accurately.- Ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries, taxes, and other statutory contributions.
Collaborate closely with HR to update and maintain employee records and payroll-related information.
- Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Stay up-to-date with changes in labor laws and tax regulations in Malaysia to ensure compliance.- Prepare and submit payroll reports to relevant authorities as required.
Assist in the preparation of year-end payroll activities, including tax reporting and issuance of annual forms.
- Handle payroll inquiries from employees and provide clear explanations of deductions, benefits, and taxes.
Contribute to the enhancement and automation of payroll processes to improve efficiency.- Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll and employee information.
- At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist in the Malaysian context.
Solid understanding of Malaysian labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory contributions.
- Proficiency in using payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication skills to interact with employees and relevant authorities.
- Ability to handle complex payroll scenarios and address employee inquiries.
