Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Business / Compensation Reporting
- Responsible for reporting / compensation and communication that involve monthly dashboard, daily, weekly & monthly sales update
- Responsible for preparing and analysing the financial performance of business segment
- Work with Key account management and internal stakeholder to find creative ways of capturing, filtering, analysing, visualising and reporting data across different functions which required data insight
- Pro-actively identify problems areas and opportunities within reports to improve accuracy and shorten reporting time needed
- Participant in automate and enhance on-going reporting to improve accuracy and working timeline
Data Management Responsibilities
- Work with internal team to gather and interpret user / system requirement into design specification
- Design data quality and exception rules and standards
- Responsible for timely flow of business intelligence information to business partners
- Constantly continuously review processes through constructive feedback and implement process improvements where appropriate
Strategic Planning
- Support strategic planning which includes, but not limited to sales projection, compensation projection, strategic initiative, project & costing
- To drive various projects for the department
- Monitor Banca Balance Scorecard (BSC) results prior to implementation on 1st January 2021
Analytics
- Design and develop analytics solution to support department mission and strategic initiatives
- Perform exploratory data analysis, feature selection, model selection and cross-validation
- Management of stakeholders expectation and requirements
- Responsible in identifying appropriate analysis and specification models and ensuring that requirements are of high quality
Supervision
- Lead a small team; assigning work to team members, reporting out on progress of the team to leadership
- Makes recommendation to supervisor, which may influence the success of initiative and department objectives
- Coaches, mentors and supports junior team member
Qualifications
Job Specification:
- Degree in Statistic/Mathematics/Economics or its equivalent.
Experience
- At least 5 - 7 years relevant working experience
- Experience within insurance or financial services, with an indepth knowledge of quantitative and qualitative data management
Knowledge/Skills
- Good command of both spoken and written English
- Detail-oriented, organized and systematic with an analytical mind.
- A self-starter, team player, responsible with the ability to work under minimum supervision
- Proficiency with programming tools (eg. Visual Basic, Excel, Access).
