Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with 4-5 years of hands-on experience to manage, maintain, and optimize Oracle database systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, upgrading, administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Oracle databases, ensuring their high availability and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software and related products.
- Manage Oracle databases, ensuring their performance, availability, and security.
- Perform database performance tuning and optimization (PTO), using performance monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- Implement and maintain backup and recovery procedures for Oracle databases.
- Monitor database health, respond to incidents, and troubleshoot database-related issues.
- Manage database storage, capacity planning, and growth to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform database patching, upgrades, and migrations as required.
- Manage user access and database security to ensure data integrity and compliance with policies.
- Support database environments in both development and production settings.
- Collaborate with application development teams to optimize database queries and performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4-5 years of experience as an Oracle DBA in production environments.
- Proficiency in Oracle Database versions 12c, 19c, or higher.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle backup and recovery scenarios.
- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and management.
- Proficiency in database performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux shell scripting for automation.
- Experience with database security, user management, and auditing.
- Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is a plus.
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification is preferred.
