Overall Scope and Purpose of Job:- Responsible for maintaining a consistently high standard of operation and guest service, within the department and ensuring that all communications relating to the Hotel, external and internal, are executed in a timely and efficient manner.
Oversee the Operations functions of hotel, as per organizational chart. Experienced in managing large teams, and as part of the Executive Committee, ensuring the smooth running operation between the Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, Food & Beverage departments at all times.- Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire operations function of the hotel and leading front of the house operational departments (Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, and Food & Beverage) during the absences of the Hotel Manager.
Exercises responsible behaviour at all times and positively representing the Thistle Johor Bahru.- Lead all key property issues including capital projects, customer service and refurbishment.
Responsible for the preparation, presentation, and subsequent achievement of the hotels annual Operating Budget. Marketing and sales Plan and Capital Budget.
- Manage the ongoing profitability of the hotel, ensuring revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceed.
Ensure all decisions are made in the best interest of the hotels and management.- Closely monitor the hotels business reports daily and make decisions accordingly.
Deliver hotel budget goals and set other and long-term strategic goals for the property.
- Developing improvement actions and carrying out cost savings.
A strong understanding of P&L statements and the ability to reach with impactful strategies- Ensure that monthly financial outlooks for Rooms, Food & Beverage, Admin & General, are on target and accurate.
Maximizing room yield and hotel/resort revenue through innovative sales practices and yield management programs.
