Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Operations and Business Analytic Specialist to join us. This role is based in Malaysia and will involve working closely with our global teams to ensure seamless operational and analytical processes. Reporting directly to our headquarters in Hong Kong, the Operations and Data Analytic Specialist will be responsible for supporting various operational functions with a primary focus on staff roster management, operational efficiency, and data analytics to ensure smooth operations across our global workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
Ensure smooth operation coverage for all shifts, including weekends, holidays, and busy periods by developing and maintaining staff schedules.
Assign shifts based on employee availability, skills, and seniority to prevent burnout and ensure a fair distribution of work hours.
Keep track of employee attendance, punctuality, and adherence to scheduled shifts, managing time-off requests, sick leave, and vacation schedules.
Stay up-to-date with labor laws and company policies to ensure schedules comply with regulations, including overtime and mandatory breaks.
Communicate schedules to employees promptly, addressing and resolving any scheduling conflicts or concerns.
Utilize scheduling software and tools to efficiently create and manage staff rosters, providing training to employees on the use of these systems.
Business Analytics:
Gather operational and sales data from various sources, such as POS systems, e-commerce platforms, and sales reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness of the data collected.
Analyze data using statistical methods and software tools to identify trends, patterns, and correlations, in order to generate valuable insights.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) like staff efficiency, sales per employee, average transaction value, and conversion rates to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance performance.
Develop forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and seasonal variations, utilizing them to make informed staffing and inventory management decisions.
Create and maintain regular reports on operational and sales performance, including daily, weekly, and monthly reports, and present findings to management along with actionable recommendations.
Identify opportunities to optimize operational processes and systems, implementing best practices for data analysis and reporting.
Collaborate with management to develop and implement operational and sales strategies, leveraging data-driven insights to drive business performance.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business analytics or data analysis with proven track record of gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to inform business decisions.
Fluency in Mandarin and Cantonese to support the Taiwan and Hong Kong markets.
Proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
Strong understanding of business operations and performance metrics.
Knowledge of statistical methods and their application in business analysis.
Awareness of market trends and the ability to develop forecasts based on historical data and seasonal variations.
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
