Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess patients physical, mental, and emotional abilities to determine their specific needs and goals.
Develop personalized treatment plans based on patients conditions, goals, and abilities to promote independence and functional improvement.- Provide therapeutic interventions and techniques to help patients develop, regain, or enhance their daily living skills and activities.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and speech therapists, to coordinate patient care and ensure comprehensive treatment.
- Monitor and document patients progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed and maintaining accurate and detailed records.
Educate patients and their families about therapy techniques, exercises, and strategies for optimizing daily activities and routines.- Recommend adaptive equipment, assistive devices, and home modifications to facilitate patients independence and safety.
Stay up-to-date with advancements in occupational therapy practices and continuously enhance clinical skills through professional development.
