Job Summary
Provide daily support on network & security related matters by resolving incidents and problems, installing hardware/software and supporting internal IT Operation Team.
Manage and support data networks comprised of LAN, Wireless LAN, PABX and WAN network; security devices including Firewalls, Load Balancer, Web Gateway.
Responsibilities & Duties
Provide day-to-day support on network infrastructure environment, configuration, administration, health check, respond to escalation notices, perform root cause analysis and problem resolution.
Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and solving hardware, software, and other issues affecting the network and device.
Replacing defective hardware components of the network when necessary.
Running operations for disaster recovery (BCP) and backups of network configuration.
Qualifications & Skills
Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Certification such as CCNA, CCNP, CCSA will be added advantage.
Role-specific Requirements
Knowledge and hands-on experience of network protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, FTP, HTTP, VLAN, VPN etc.
Related experience with digital phone system and Cisco NAC will be added advantage.
ITIL related experience will be added advantage.
