Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Content Moderator who is a native Japanese speaker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and moderating user-generated content to ensure a safe and positive online environment. This role requires a deep understanding of cultural nuances, excellent communication skills, and the ability to make quick, accurate decisions.
Review and moderate user-generated content, including text, images, and videos, to ensure compliance with community guidelines and legal requirements.
- Identify and escalate content that violates policies, including spam, hate speech, harassment, and other inappropriate material.
Maintain a high level of accuracy and consistency in content moderation decisions.- Provide feedback and recommendations to improve content moderation processes and policies.
Collaborate with the content moderation team and other departments to address emerging issues and trends.
- Stay updated on relevant cultural, social, and political developments in Japan to ensure culturally sensitive moderation.
Assist in developing and maintaining documentation and training materials for content moderation.

Native proficiency in Japanese and fluency in English.- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
Previous experience in content moderation, customer service, or a related field is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of Japanese culture, social norms, and current events.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and potentially disturbing content in a professional manner.
Proficiency in using content moderation tools and software is a plus.
