Primary Roles & Responsibilities
Creative Excellence
- Min 6-7 years of experience in serving creative functions in an organisation or equivalent
- Portfolio composition of T2 majority portfolio OR >RM250k portfolio value
- Possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Design, Fine Art, Film/Cinema or a relevant degree or certification
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere and After Effects. Intermediate knowledge of Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
- Additional skills in 3D and VFX are a plus.
Creative Execution
- Design and create enticing motion graphics for various media, including corporate videos, eLearning, websites, marketing demos, web, and mobile.
- Prepare design plan, concept and layout for motion graphic projects.
- Work with the design team to understand project scope and objectives.
- Edit raw video footage and add effects/elements to enhance motion graphics.
- Research and analyse the best design techniques and solutions to create motion graphics.
- Assist in designing and creating storyboards.
- Participate in a brainstorming session to share new design perspectives and ideas.
- Maintain and follow best practices for versioning control, naming convention and organization of graphic files.
- Ensure compliance with company guidelines and design standards.
- Work with the design team to select audio, video, colours, animation, etc., for motion design.
- Create multiple motion solutions for a given brief; provide a point of view and communicate it to the wider team.
- Responsible for ensuring the motion artist team gathers all necessary information and materials before a brainstorming session to ensure the team can kick-start projects in a well-informed manner.
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending design workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies.
Creative Leadership
- Mentor, encourage, foster, and support intelligent innovation and risk-taking to create and deliver creative solutions that improve consumer interaction and experience with clients products and/or services, providing the best financial performance to clients businesses.
- Consistently work towards realising the department's vision and ensure team members align with fundamental organisational values.
- Inspire and ensure the team produces compelling and industry-leading work.
- Work closely with planning and design teams to develop and execute motion design solutions that work with an overarching concept.
- Take on a leadership role when presenting motion-related work to clients, especially in the absence of the Creative Group Head (CGH).
- Guide juniors and create a balanced environment that allows them space to explore and fail safely while intervening and enlightening when necessary.
- Be accountable for the quality of motion execution by juniors.
- Attention to detail in evaluating your juniors motion work.
- Offer innovative advice and solutions to clients and team members, drawing from industry examples and experience.
- Take the lead in organizing, maintaining, and overseeing motion standards and guidelines.
- Provide insight on creative briefs and schedules during brainstorming/briefing sessions with the wider Content Services Team.
- Lead production shoots (photo shoots, events, production houses, etc.) in the absence of a Creative Group Head (CGH) or other creative leaders within the team.
Client/Partners & Agencies Management
- Consult clients and partner agencies with minimal supervision from the Creative Group Head/Associate Creative Director/Creative Director, providing expert advice and guidance.
- Present and rationalize design strategies and creative executions to clients/partners, pitching and justifying ideas effectively.
- Inspire and motivate clients and partner agencies to push creative boundaries and deliver exceptional craft output.
- Cultivate and maintain cross-functional relationships with partner agencies and clients to gather the best information and gain traction on strategies and ideas.
Project Management & Coordination
- Manage and ensure personal and team tasks are delivered on time, working closely with the Account Management Team.
- Be able to advise the Account Management Team on realistic hours needed for each task.
Internal Initiatives
- To work closely with others to execute & drive internal special projects as initiated by the CEO.
- Keep an eye out for awards/case study work across the C27 portfolio of clients.
- To ensure the brand image (visually) of C27 is consistent throughout while working with the internal branding team.
Other Responsibilities
