If you are looking to grow in an exciting career filled with opportunities and potential, we are seeking a professional to join our team as Middleware Engineer.

The Role:

• Install, configure and upgrade middleware.
• Middleware administration for service request, change and reconfiguration.
• Involve in incident management with immediate troubleshooting, action and resolution.
• Plan, broadcast and apply middleware security patch and hardening.
• Attend to audits and regulatory compliance matters.
• Participate in data center shutdown and business disaster recovery activity.
• Maintain middleware inventory and keep track on the updated and outdated middleware (including runtime) versions.
• Improvise the existing middleware team process and procedures.
• Join in various meetings that requires the middleware team involvement.
• Assess on new middleware that will be on boarded into the team support.
• Guide and provide Level 1/2 middleware support.
• Write and update documentations related to middleware administration.
• Communicate to the stakeholders on the recommendation to ensure middleware will run better and without critical problems in future.
• Take accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks
• Maintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company
• Highlight any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices
• Other responsibilities entailed

The Person:

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related IT qualification.
• At least 5 years of experience in system/middleware administration, infrastructure operations with exposure to security compliance with any middleware stated below.

1. Oracle WebLogic Server with Oracle Java
2. Oracle HTTP Server with Oracle Java
3. IBM WebSphere Application Server with IBM Java (J9)
4. IBM WebSphere Application Server Liberty with IBM Java (J9)
5. IBM HTTP Server with IBM Java (J9)
6. RedHat JBoss Enterprise Application Server with RedHat OpenJDK
7. RedHat JBoss HTTP Server with RedHat OpenJDK
8. Microsoft Internet Information Services with .NET Framework
9. Oracle eBusiness Suite with Oracle Java

• Knowledge in any of the following operating system that having middleware running in it.

1. Oracle Solaris
2. RedHat Enterprise Linux
3. Microsoft Windows Server
4. IBM AIX

• Advantage if you have any of the following certification

1. Middleware stated above
2. Project Management
3. Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)

• Research, analytical and problem solving skills
• Good collaboration and teamwork
• Security compliance and automation mindset
• High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork
• Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes
