Job Responsibilities :

As a Merchant Operations Support for our payment gateway, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless integration of merchants onto our platform and providing ongoing support to optimize their payment processing experience. Your dedication to excellence, strong communication skills, and commitment to compliance will be instrumental in driving the success of our merchant onboarding function.

Merchant Onboarding

  • Assist in the onboarding process, including reviewing applications and performing basic KYC (Know Your Customer) checks.
  • Help merchants with the integration onto the payment gateway platform, ensuring smooth setup and addressing minor issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of merchant onboarding and interactions, ensuring compliance with internal procedures.

Merchant Support

  • Provide first-level support for account setup and payment gateway integration, guiding merchants through basic registration and testing.
  • Monitor and respond to support tickets, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Identify recurring issues and suggest improvements to streamline processes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes to better assist merchants.

Compliance and Regulatory Oversight

  • Assist in ensuring that onboarding procedures follow basic compliance requirements, including KYC/KYB checks.
  • Help to ensure compliance with relevant regulations

Risk Management

  • Support the implementation of risk management policies
  • Help review merchant accounts for potential risks and report findings to relevant teams.

Relationship Management

  • Support efforts to build and maintain strong relationships with merchants, assisting in resolving their concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as sales and technical support, to ensure seamless onboarding and support.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Assist in the generation of reports related to merchant onboarding and support activities.
  • Help analyze data to identify trends and recommend improvements to processes and operational efficiency.

Pre-Requisites :

  • SPM/Diploma in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in merchant operations, payment processing, or related fields.
  • Basic understanding of payment industry regulations such as PCI-DSS, PSD2, and GDPR.
  • Familiarity with compliance measures is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in basic data analysis and reporting tools. Ability to assist in deriving insights from data is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders effectively at various levels.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams, contributing positively to team efforts and fostering a cooperative environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in merchant operations and support processes.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in technology, regulations, and industry trends in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also working effectively within a team setting.
  • Willingness to work in I-City and commute as needed to fulfill job responsibilities.
