Design and develop mechatronic systems for automated production lines, ensuring seamless integration of mechanical, electronic and software components;
Create detailed technical drawings and schematics using CAD software;
Develop and implement control algorithms to optimize production efficiency and product quality;
Integrate mechanical, electronic, and software components into cohesive, high performing systems;
Conduct simulations and modelling to predict system behavior, optimize designs and ensure the reliability and efficiency of the manufacturing process;
Implement smart technologies and loT solutions to enhance process monitoring and control;
Perform rigorous testing of systems and machinery to ensure they meet production requirements and standards;
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to minimize production downtime;
Validate system performance through real-world testing and make data-driven recommendations for improvements;
Lead or participate in multidisciplinary project teams focused on enhancing production processes;
Develop and manage project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation;
Provide regular updates and reports to management and other stakeholders;
Research and implement the latest technologies and methodologies in mechatronics to enhance production efficiency and product quality;
Propose innovative solutions to improve existing systems and develop new ones that align with the company's strategic goals;
Optimize systems for cost-effectiveness, reliability and compliance with industry standards;
Provide ongoing technical support for production systems, ensuring they operate smoothly and efficiently;
Train production and maintenance teams on the operation and maintenance of automated systems;
Ensure all systems comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements relevant to medical device manufacturing.
Job Requirements
Proven experience in designing and developing automated systems for manufacturing, preferably in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry;
Proficiency in CAD software (eg AutoCad, SolidWorks) and simulation tools (eg. MATLAB, Simulink);
Strong knowledge of control systems, embedded systems, and programming languages (eg. C/C++, Python);
Experience with PLCs and HMI design;
Familiarity with industrial automation, robotics and manufacturing process;
Knowledge of regulatory requirements for medical device manufacturing (eg. ISO 13485, FDA);
Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on quality and detail;
Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
